Epipone Les Paul Custom jest instrumentem, który debiutował w 1954 roku - wkrótce po sukcesie legendarnego modelu Les Paul Goldtop. Les Paul pragnął stworzyć sprzęt o doskonałych parametrach akustycznych, zamkniętych w możliwie najbardziej eleganckiej formie. Współczesna wersja gitary jest dostępna w dwóch opcjach kolorystycznych (czarnej i białej) oraz posiada wszystkie najważniejsze cechy swojego pierwowzoru. Nie zabrakło wśród nich luksusowego bindingu, złotego hardware'u oraz prostokątnych inkrustacji z masy perłowej. Mahoniowy korpus połączono z litym mahoniowym gryfem, gwarantując odpowiedni rezonans oraz sustain. Brzmienie trafia do wzmacniacza za pośrednictwem pary potężnych humbuckerów ProBucker, kontrolowanych przy pomocy dwóch par potencjometrów Volume i Tone oraz 3-pozycyjnego przełącznika przetworników.
